fashion-show
Fashion-show Mongolia is the result of my close contact with girls from Moscow Textile Institute - Inga Baldano, Tanya Orobets and Tanya Kulahmetov - in the process of creating clothing collection for fashion-show ordered by Merloni Elettrodomestici.
I stood in the project as a connector and responsible for the production of plastic designs.
Fashion-show for Merloni Elettrodomestici was to represent dishwashers, washing machines, stoves, refrigerators of brands Ariston and Indesit.
Collection has been successfully shown at the presentation of St. Petersburg's office of Merloni Elettrodomestici, which happened to be at the restaurant Krysha (the roof) of Hotel Europa.
At the same time, I had a joint exhibitions with Irina Baldano, Inga's sister. I was impressed by plastic of Irina's drawings. In her works was present archaism, but archaism natural and vivid. All impressions together inspired me to create the clothing collection Mongolia. Of course, the collection was a conceptual, models did not propose the practical use. It was the sort of idea in development. The most difficult element in the collection were caps. The caps were constructed and sewn by myself, and trimming with cord and applications were made by Irina Baldano.
The suits in the collection were a combination of two T-shirts, black and white, with cuts on them and buttons. Zoya Almuhamedov helped me to cut T-shirts. Footwear has been substituted by various combinations of black and white socks and knee-highs.
When the collection was ready, fashion-show has been included in the program of the festival LA NOUVELLE ASIE, which was held in the Tretiy Put (Third Way) club on Pyatnitskaya st. In Moscow.
Mongolia remained my only experience in the design of clothing. It was important to try. Despite a big share of amateurism, collection was made and shown. But that was all.
